Holidays in La GaudeThe small medieval village of La Gaude is beautifully situated on a ridge between Vence and Nice in very lush surroundings. La Gaude is a small but very charming village with a typical southern French atmosphere. It offers beautiful well-restored stone houses, narrow streets and small squares. There are a few small shops and a few restaurants in town, but not much else. La Gaude is a very suitable holiday destination, primarily due to its very central location in a scenic area. It is a good starting point for both cycling and hiking. The landscape is hilly and offers impressive views of the Mediterranean. 15 kilometres away you'll find the fantastic artist town of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, one of the area's great gems. Cagnes-sur-Mer with its lovely beaches is 15 minutes away, and the Promenade des Anglais in Nice is 20 minutes away.
