We rented the villa for four weeks, 5/28 thru 6/25/16. The villa and pool are exactly as pictured. The view is spectacular! There are several seating areas outside around the pool, along with 5 lounges that are not pictured on the website, which was a very nice surprise. The pool and spa are fantastic and well maintained. The villa is situated in a quiet area and we found the neighbors to be lovely people. There are quality restaurants nearby and lovely small seaport towns to visit. In addition, St. Tropez, Cannes and Mougins are in easy driving distance. We hired the housekeeper Monique to come weekly. She was very accommodating to our schedule, showed-up on time and did a very good job. This was our second rental thru Provacances and we were again totally pleased with their service. They responded immediately to concerns or questions and had a few issues resolved immediately. We will continue to use them in the future and check out their listings first as they made the process so easy. Thank you Hans & Per.
We were greeted by the villa owner, a very nice man who did his best with our language barrier. We speak very little French and he did his best to explain what he could in English. He said the Bosch coffee maker in the kitchen was too complicated and the elevator he explained was not necessary. Although we hadn't planned on using the elevator, it would have been nice to transport the luggage upstairs for guests. Other than that everything else could be utilized. He did ask us to feed the fish (both inside and out) and to water all the plants. We said "yes" to the fish and "no" to the plants as there must be at least 20-25 plants between inside and out. We ended up regretting agreeing to feed the fish, because on our 2nd morning, we woke up to a dead fish in the inside tank. We notified Provacances and were told someone would come and remove it. After two days we removed it ourselves but by that time the tank was cloudy and by weeks end, three more fish had died. The chore became frustrating and we were sorry we had agreed to do it. Luckily when Monique came to clean she took out all the tank decorations and replaced them, cleaned the tank and that resolved the issue. We had no further issues with the fish. We had a couple days without internet access but that was resolved when we were given the new password. The air-conditioning did not work for the first 12 days but the owner did get that resolved. Being there a month, we had a couple of other small issues that were handled immediately. Thank you Provacances, Jean Pierre and Monique.
