Lovely Tuscan house located in beautiful surroundings
Typical Tuscan house located in the countryside, amid the hills of Lucca. This holiday house is only 10 km from the medieval town of Lucca, about 45 km. from the seaside town of Viareggio (home to one of the most renowned Carnival parade in Italy) or from the picturesque town of Forte dei Marmi, with its designer boutiques, lounges and cafés.
The hills nearby of Montecarlo and Garfagnana offer interesting wine and gastronomic itineraries, while the renowned thermal resort of Montecatini will guarantee the necessary relax to your holiday. Children should not miss a visit to Pinocchio’s magic world of fairytales in Collodi!
This newly built stone house is surrounded by a very large and closed garden; a salt water pool, a vegetable garden, fruit trees, an aviary and an animal shed.
The house is in 3 levels and in a typical Tuscany style with for ex. exposed beams.
Basement level: where the gardener/caretaker lives. The gardener will guarantee the maximum privacy to the guests, he will take care of the garden and the pool (after arrangements with the guests) and will be happy to present the guest with vegetables or fruit from the garden. Storage and garage.
Ground floor: kitchen with dining facility, a large living room with a sofa bed for 2, a double bedroom, a bedroom with twin beds and 1 bathroom with bathtub.
First floor: a double bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub.
The owner produces his own olive oil (like most of the inhabitants of Tuscany do, no matter how many olive trees one has). Ask the landlord and he will happily let you taste it.
On request it is possible to organize dinners, cooking classes, wine tasting, babysitter and/or dog-sitter services. The owner can also help with car hire, transfers to/from the airports, or help you in buying food products made locally.
Upon arrival the guests will find a welcome basket with local provisions.

The churches inside the town walls were built in the 12th and 13th centuries and the imposing wall itself dates back to the 16th century. It is one of Europe’s best-preserved Renaissance ramparts and an evening walk here is very much worth doing. Lucca is an exciting city for shopping with lots of clothes and jeweller’s shops. The medieval...

The city is divided by the alga-green Arno river. Along the river, beautiful palaces were built in the 16th century. Nowadays, they hide the humble constructions, built behind. Today Pisa is world famous for its Leaning Tower: Torre Pendente. The construction of the tower was initiated in the 12th century and finished in 1350. Shortly after...
