Central location in beautiful and quiet surroundings between Pisa and Lucca
The house dates back to the 1600s and it has been restored and furnished in Tuscan style. The atmosphere is very pleasant and quaint. The house is surrounded by olive groves and pine forests, trees typical of the hills between Pisa and Lucca.
The house is located on a working farm, that produces olive oil and wine. Just 1.5 km away is the pretty village of Buti, reached by a scenic drive through olive groves (which sometimes is a bit steep with turns/curves; the last part, closest to the house, is unpaved) where you will find all the necessary shops and several restaurants, pizzerias and bars.
In front of the house there is a large covered terrace with a vine covered pergola, equipped with outdoor furniture and barbecue for outdoor dining. From the terrace guests can enjoy the beautiful view of the olive trees, the pine woods and the garden with the large private pool.
While staying here guests will still have privacy and quiet, though they have easy access to road in order to visit the most beautiful cities of Tuscany: Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano and many others.
The house is on two levels arranged as follows.
Ground floor: living room with an old fireplace, a dining room, a large kitchen and a bedroom with two single beds, private toilet and a fireplace.
Upper floor: two double bedrooms, a shower room, a bathroom and a bedroom with a double bed, a single bed and a private toilet.

At the end of the Dark Ages, Greve developed on the flat ground of the Greve valley as the market for the fortified villages, castles and farm houses on the surrounding hilltops. In 1325 it was burned to the ground by Castruccio Castracani, the Duke of Lucca. Nevertheless, Greve expanded considerably during the 14th and 15th centuries, and, after...
Once the seat of a small Etruscan village in the Hellenistic period (3rd century BC) it began its life as a town in the 10th century, taking its name from the Holy Bishop of Modena, St. Gimignano, who is said to have saved the village from the barbarian hordes. The town increased in wealth and developed greatly during the Middle Ages thanks to...
Today’s Volterra mainly carries the stamp of the Middle Ages and the most interesting buildings from this period are to be seen at Piazza dei Priori. Here, you can also find well-kept remains from the Etruscan period, i.e. the town gate, Porta del Arco, one of the best preserved Etruscan town gates in Italy. It dates back to the 4th century...
