Beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside close to the village of Vinci
Streda Belvedere is a vine estate located in Vinci, the birthplace of the celebrated Maestro Leonardo da Vinci; in the heart of Tuscany - not far from Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena. The village grew up in the romanesque area, around the church of San Bartolomeo a Streda, whose earliest remains date back to around the year 1000.
The Streda estate opened its holiday farm in 2008. This project was born from the belief that, as wine and its excellence are the “essence of the heart”, art and culture are the essence of humanity. The romantic hamlet has been reconstructed in the recent years and offers an unparalleled opportunity to spend a vacation immersed in the history, vines and olive trees that have been cultivated at Streda Belvedere for many generations. Ser Piero, Leonardo's father, was already growing vines on his properties in Streda in the 16th century.
The Lenzi family, Roberto first and then his son Claudio, has continued the tradition of planting extensive vineyards and olive groves on the property's 80 acres. They have taken advantage of the magnificent site, where most of the vineyards overlook the Lago di Streda, which lies at the center of the estate. They also further developed the potential of making use of the local microclimate, which is exceptional for viticulture.
