Il Torrione, a medieval village in the Chianti Classico area dating back to the 14th century, that has been restored and furnished in the rustic style that is typical of Tuscan farmhouse complexes, is situated less than a mile from the main resort Riserva di Fizzano; owned by the Rocca delle Macìe Winery. By staying in one of Il Torrione's four apartments, you will have a chance to enjoy the very best of the peace and tranquillity offerded by the Tuscan countryside. There is also a wonderful swimming pool overlooking the valley where you can relax laying on a deckchair contemplating the spectacular landscape.
At Riserva di Fizzano guests can take advantage of the extensive range of services available, which include: a bar; a top class restaurant serving authentic local cuisine, a large swimming pool with paddling pool; a play area; mountain bikes for riding round the paths that meander through the beautiful local vineyards and olive groves.
The resort can organize guided tours of the company's winery, involving wine tasting, along with extra-virgin olive oil, honey and grappa, all made by Rocca delle Macie (at the sales point, located in the village). The expert, highly trained staff at Riserva di Fizzano will be happy to organize first rate cookery courses during which you'll have the opportunity to learn all the secrets of the Tuscan kitchen.
