Central location at Pontedera between Pisa and Florence
Lovely villa set in beautiful surroundings in the small and peaceful village of Treggiaia, close to the most beautiful towns in Tuscany. In the village you will find the grocery store, bar, butcher and 500 m away from the pizza restaurant and take-away food. Supermarket and other shops are within 4 km. Excellent starting point for trips to the beach (30 mins) and trips to the beautiful towns of Pisa, Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano and Volterra. Within a short distance you will also find the fabulous SPA "Terme di Casciana". Nearby there is a very cozy little church, Chiesa della Madonna di Ripaia. Dating back to the 14th century, this Romanesque church is a favorite place for weddings.
The villa is situated high up above the valley and offers a fabulous view of the surrounding area. Next to the villa there is a large fenced pool surrounded by a sun terrace with sun loungers and a pergola with dining table. From here you can relax in the shade all in while but enjoy the good view.
The villa is on 3 floors and consists of:
Ground-floor with large hall connected to the loggia, which runs all the way around the house, living room with large open fireplace in open connection with the dining room. From here there is access to the large and typical Tuscan kitchen as well as a large covered terrace with stunning views. In addition, on this floor there are 3 bedrooms - 2 with double bed and 1 with small double bed, 1 bathroom with bath and shower and 1 bathroom with shower.
In the lower floor there is a large kitchen / dining area with dining area and sofa, 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds (without window) and 1 bathroom with shower.
The attic floor of the house is air-conditioned and contains 1 large double bedroom with private bathroom with shower, as well as 2 low-ceilinged passageways (suitable for children) with 2 single beds that can be combined into a double bed and 1 single bed.
Small well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. Be aware that this is a non-smoking house.
On request, the owner offers the following: cooking classes or lunch / dinner on site, wine tasting, cheese and olive oil tasting, truffle hunting, visits to Lari, Peccioli or Lajatico with Bocellis winery. It is possible to arrange other tours.
