Central location in beautiful and calm surroundings between Pisa and Lucca
This cosy stone house is situated in a beautiful area of Tuscany surrounded by hills of olive groves and pine forests. Buti, where the house is located, has an altitude of about 300 meters above the sea, this guarantees a mild and pleasant climate all year round. The building is an old farmhouse that has been restored using original materials (brick, wood, stone) and furnished with antique furniture, in accordance with the tradition of the region.
The house is situated only 1.5 km away from the pretty village of Buti, reached by a scenic drive through olive groves (which sometimes is a bit steep with turns/curves. The last part of the road, closest to the house, is unpaved) where you will find all the necessary shops and several restaurants, pizzerias and bars.
Buti has a very central position, making it easy to reach the numerous art towns of Tuscany, not to forget that the seaside town of La Spezia can be reached in about 90 min., and from here there is only a short trip to places like the Cinque Terre or the Gulf of Poets with the towns of Lerici and Portovenere, where well-known English poets, like Byron, Shelley and D.H. Lawrence to name some, were inspired.
Nice pool area with a solarium completed with outdoor furniture, a hot tub is on site too. At the front of the house there is a large covered terrace with a pergola covered with vine typical from Tuscany, where it is possible to enjoy al fresco dining. Both from the pool and from the terrace it is possible to enjoy a fantastic view of the surrounding hills and of the village of Buti.
The house has two floors arranged as follows:
Ground floor: kitchen, dining room with fireplace, bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with shower.
First floor: master bedroom with toilet, room with a single bed, bedroom with a double bed and a single bed and a small terrace and a bathroom with tub.
The house also has another small terrace where guests can sunbathe.

At the end of the Dark Ages, Greve developed on the flat ground of the Greve valley as the market for the fortified villages, castles and farm houses on the surrounding hilltops. In 1325 it was burned to the ground by Castruccio Castracani, the Duke of Lucca. Nevertheless, Greve expanded considerably during the 14th and 15th centuries, and, after...
Once the seat of a small Etruscan village in the Hellenistic period (3rd century BC) it began its life as a town in the 10th century, taking its name from the Holy Bishop of Modena, St. Gimignano, who is said to have saved the village from the barbarian hordes. The town increased in wealth and developed greatly during the Middle Ages thanks to...
Today’s Volterra mainly carries the stamp of the Middle Ages and the most interesting buildings from this period are to be seen at Piazza dei Priori. Here, you can also find well-kept remains from the Etruscan period, i.e. the town gate, Porta del Arco, one of the best preserved Etruscan town gates in Italy. It dates back to the 4th century...
