Following the Covid-19 global pandemic, Provacances is closely monitoring the current situation. As rental agency, focusing on rental of holiday homes in France and Italy, we are directly affected by the situation. We understand that many of you have questions regarding Covid-19, holiday, and insurance. Therefore, we have tried to gather relevant information in the hope of being able to help our customers in the best possible way.
Do you wish to cancel your holiday due to COVID-19?
The situation regarding Covid-19 does not change anything in relation to our general cancellation policy. If you cancel more than 6 weeks before your arrival, you will lose your deposit (30%). If you cancel less than 6 weeks before your arrival, you will lose the entire rental amount (100%). You can read more about our cancellation conditions here.
Does Provacances’ illness cancellation insurance cover in this case?
If you want to cancel your booking because of Covid-19, you are unfortunately not covered by the illness insurance automatically included in the rental price. The insurance only covers acute illness, death or injury caused by an accident. You can find more details about our illness insurance by consulting our general rental conditions.
We encourage you to check with your private insurance company how you are covered in case you need to cancel your holiday due to Covid-19 restrictions. It is our experience that there are great differences between different insurance policies in this regard. For example, pandemics are typically not listed within a standard policy.
