Provence Côte d'Azur
Provence is a region situated in the sunny south-eastern corner of France. The real Provence stretches from the perfume-city of Grasse to the east all the way to the Rhône valley to the west, and from the high Alps to the north, to the Mediterranean to the south. Even though it is not geographically correct, the French Riviera is today also considered a part of Provence. The region contains the following departments: the Bouches-du-Rhône, the Vaucluse, the Var, the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence as well as the Alpes Maritimes. Furthermore, we have decided to include the departments of the Drôme and the Ardèche in the region of Provence-Côte d´Azur, as many of our holiday homes are situated near the natural border of Provence-Côte d´Azur. Poggiovalle is located close to Città della Pieve in an area of extraordinary natural beauty close to the Chianti hills, between Rome and Florence, surrounded by an estate of 1100 hectares. Here the gentle and restful Tuscan hills meet the intense green of the mystical Umbria. The comfortable apartments, which are completely restructured, are the ideal place to spend peaceful days in harmony with the country side.
The resort consists of two units, "Borgo Belvedere" opened in 1998 and fully restored in 2002 and "Borgo Granaro”, 800 metres off, opened in 2003. The two hamlets offer each and every distinguishing characteristic for a holiday in utter freedom and in constant touch with nature.
The rhythm of the holiday is governed only by the serene timing of nature. Close to the towns of Fabro, Città della Pieve, Cetona and Orvieto, it is the perfect base for visiting the most beautiful historical towns of central Italy and discover treasures away from touristic routes. There are many paths available for hiking and bike rides, passing through sceneries where nature is still magical.
