Provence Côte d'Azur
Provence is a region situated in the sunny south-eastern corner of France. The real Provence stretches from the perfume-city of Grasse to the east all the way to the Rhône valley to the west, and from the high Alps to the north, to the Mediterranean to the south. Even though it is not geographically correct, the French Riviera is today also considered a part of Provence. The region contains the following departments: the Bouches-du-Rhône, the Vaucluse, the Var, the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence as well as the Alpes Maritimes. Furthermore, we have decided to include the departments of the Drôme and the Ardèche in the region of Provence-Côte d´Azur, as many of our holiday homes are situated near the natural border of Provence-Côte d´Azur. Wonderful 18 th century villa in an idyllic setting of woods, meadows, vineyards and olive groves in the hills of Florence. The farmhouse was restored to its original splendour in 2004 and is charmingly furnished with Tuscan style furniture and various exotic world pieces. It has a large room with a huge fireplace where the old wooden beamed ceilings remind us of former life in Tuscany. An additional attraction of the villa are the ten free range horses which pasture on the farmland.
The owner of the villa is an international chef who has vast experience of both creative and traditional Tuscan cooking. On request it is possible to have dinners served in the lovely dining room with large arched windows overlooking the wonderful grounds of the Villa and accompanied with an excellent selection of wines.
The house is conveniently situated between Florence, Chianti and Siena. Poggio di Gaville and surroundings offer a 170 m2 swimming pool and a small lake, Mediterranean and Middle-eastern cookery courses, teambuilding courses, sports activities by the Cipriano lake, horseback riding, an adventure with hot-air ballooning over the Tuscan hills, shopping at the biggest Designer Outlet in Italy, The Mall.
Villa for up to 26 persons
The main house of Villa Poggio di Gaville offers 11 double rooms on two floors. All rooms have a private bathroom, TV and individual heating, Tuscan furnitures, wooden wardrobes, terracotta floors and wooden-beamed ceilings. There are 2 double Superior rooms which can be added a third bed. One of the Superior rooms has a terrace of 25 m2. 1 large living room with a fireplace, 1 dining room, 1 kitchen.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms because the rooms remain delightfully cool even in the hot summer season.
