House/Villa Cortona

Aristocratic 19th century villa just outside Cortona, surrounded by olive groves and chestnut woods, looking out over the massive Valdichiana and the foothills of the Apennine Alps. The area combines great natural beauty (Lake Trasimeno is a short drive away) with a wealth of historical remains and artefacts Etruscan, Roman and medieval. Cortona's ancient walls and winding streets have resisted the ravages of modern development and the town has several excellent restaurants.

The villa along with its two annexes each with an independent entrance provides accommodation for 10 guests with private grounds and swimming pool. This is a traditional Tuscan home, with the rich, warm colours of terracotta and chestnut beams lending a timeless elegance. The rooms are spacious and light, and furniture and furnishings have been carefully selected to emphasize the grandeur of the building.

Villa Serena (250 m2):

Ground floor: Large living room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with a freezer and dishwasher, and a bathroom.

First floor: Three double bedrooms with period beds and furniture, and two bathrooms, one with tub. The large terrace is furnished with a big table, ideal for breakfasts and evening meals, and has splendid panoramic views. WI-FI connection only in this villa.

The two annexes, each with accommodation for two guests, are decorated in the same luxurious style as the villa, with cotta tiling and period furniture lending an air of rustic luxury.

Villa Serenella (60 m2)

Enchanting cantina, restored for apartment purposes, 60m2 (20 m long and 3 m wide) where a graceful kitchen finds its place along with a living room, a bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower. This dependence offers a very comfortable and relaxing environment.

Villa Limonaia (50 m2)

Once was a lemon tree store house, now restored to serve the purpose of apartment is equipped with a practical kitchen, a big living room, a bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with shower.

Every building is completely independent and has its own access door. The common utilities are the parking lot and the swimming pool. The city of Cortona is less than 1 km away and is reachable even by walking, while enjoying a marvelous panoramic walk of the valley down below and the Lake Trasimeno.
