House/Villa Kozljak

This property is at the foot of the highest Istrian mountain of Ucka from which the views of Istria and Kvarner Bay are unforgettable; the back garden of the house extends directly to slopes of the mountain. The location of the house is private, it is outside the tiny village Kozlak, 5 minutes drive away from Vozilici, where you will find a shop and two good restaurants, 'Tri murve' and 'Antonio'.

For excellent fish restaurants drive to Rabac 20 minutes, to find a multitude of bars and patisseries with terraces by the sea, cafés, shops, and plenty of entertainment for all ages, from live music in restaurants, to an open disco on the famous Girandella beach. Rabac also offers a variety of summer sports, tennis courts, boat hire, trips to islands, and a fast boat 'day trip' to Venice once a week. For other shops and charming little back streets, drive 15 minutes to Labin, an old hilltop village which becomes a centre of art and various jazz and classical music concerts every summer.

The house is surrounded with gardens, which at the back extend to the mountain. This outside area is very sunny throughout the day and has a 8m x 4m swimming pool with a shower and some old chestnut trees. Up a few stone steps is the front door that opens into a kitchen with a dining table, satellite TV and a nice fireplace. The kitchen is air-conditioned and fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, oven and cooker. A little hall connects the kitchen to a shower room/wc with a washing machine to the left, and with a covered back terrace behind. Here is a built in barbecue and large wooden table for dining al fresco. On the ground floor is a double bedroom with an extra single bed.

Upstairs is an air-conditioned living room with TV and DVD, and a comfortable sofa in the corner. The doors from the living room lead to another double bedroom and a shower room/wc.

Saturday arrival at Pula, drive 50 mins; or Rijeka, drive 1 hr 15 mins.
