Provence is a region situated in the sunny south-eastern corner of France. The real Provence stretches from the perfume-city of Grasse to the east all the way to the Rhône valley to the west, and from the high Alps to the north, to the Mediterranean to the south. Even though it is not geographically correct, the French Riviera is today also considered a part of Provence. The region contains the following departments: Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence as well as the Alpes-Maritimes. Furthermore, we have decided to include the departments of Drôme and Ardèche in the region of Provence-Côte d’Azur, as many of our holiday homes are situated near the natural border of Provence-Côte d´Azur. This villa, situated at only 1 km from the romantic Canal du Midi, is in the lovely and well-stocked village of St-Nazaire-d'Aude. The Canal du Midi is a 240 km long canal in the south of France, le Midi. The canal connects the Garonne River to the Étang de Thau on the Mediterranean. The canal runs from the city of Toulouse down to the Mediterranean port of Sète. The villa is also only 2 km away from the attractive and lively harbour of Somail which at summer time offers restaurants, boats and bikes renting. It is a wonderful area for nature lovers because the villa is located in the Narbonnais Regional Park with the steep paths of massif de la Clape and the Étangs de Bages, appreciated by ornithologists or the white sandy beaches of Gruissan nearby.
The villa has recently been restored and it is completely independent and situated in a quiet area. The 170 m² house is comfortably converted for 7 persons in an enclosed, flowery garden of 1400 m², planted of trees and a private swimming pool with a large solarium.
The house offers: spacious living room with 4 m high ceiling roof, open fire place, and access to a lovely terrace, open kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds, 1 bathroom with bath and shower, and 2 independent toilets. 1st floor is closed for rental.
