Provence Côte d'Azur
Provence is a region situated in the sunny south-eastern corner of France. The real Provence stretches from the perfume-city of Grasse to the east all the way to the Rhône valley to the west, and from the high Alps to the north, to the Mediterranean to the south. Even though it is not geographically correct, the French Riviera is today also considered a part of Provence. The region contains the following departments: Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence as well as the Alpes-Maritimes. Furthermore, we have decided to include the departments of Drôme and Ardèche in the region of Provence-Côte d’Azur, as many of our holiday homes are situated near the natural border of Provence-Côte d´Azur. Beautiful farmhouse that makes part of a farming estate close to the charming village of San Casciano dei Bagni and only few minutes away the Fonteverde well-being Spa. Near the main building is a separate building, always for guests’ use. The two houses have been completely restored with care taken to fully maintain the original features of the typical house of the country.
Both of them are a good solution for a large group thanks to the possibility to use as communal area the lounge and the dining room of the main house. The inside rooms are furnished with period pieces in a quiet and functional way. From here you can admire a wonderful panorama with an enchanting view on the Monte Amiata and on the Valley of Rigo. Also the swimming pool is set in a beautiful panoramic position and it is exclusively used by guests. In the main house there is a small apartment, that is completely independent, where the housekeeper lives.
San Giacomo is very well located, as it is easily reachable from Rome or Florence. It is possible to make daily excursions to important cities of art like Assisi, Perugia, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d’Orcia and Siena.
