Provence Côte d'Azur
Provence is a region situated in the sunny south-eastern corner of France. The real Provence stretches from the perfume-city of Grasse to the east all the way to the Rhône valley to the west, and from the high Alps to the north, to the Mediterranean to the south. Even though it is not geographically correct, the French Riviera is today also considered a part of Provence. The region contains the following departments: Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence as well as the Alpes-Maritimes. Furthermore, we have decided to include the departments of Drôme and Ardèche in the region of Provence-Côte d’Azur, as many of our holiday homes are situated near the natural border of Provence-Côte d´Azur. Giada Country House
The Giada Country House is situated in the small and peaceful village Lecchiore about 4 km from the town Dolcedo and 9.5 km from the ocean at Imperia.
The Giada Country House is a villa from the 17th century and today it is owned by the Ghiglione family, who also owns the holiday resort Villa Giada Holiday Club at Imperia (see our ref. i1.3010-i1.3013). They have much experience with tourisme and the villa is totally renovated in 2008. The villa now consists of 5 very well furnished apartments with every comfort and a balcony, terrace or a small garden. The apartments have a well equipped kitchenette, air condition, central heating and flat screen TV with satellite.
The residence has a very nice restaurant, a garden with a small but nice swimming pool, barbeque area and a playground for children as well as the possibility to rent mountain bikes. During the renovation, much attention was given to the historical and architectural characteristics of the building. In the cellar there is an old oil mill, which today is converted into a very charming restaurant area for approximately 50 people. The kitchen was reconstructed without altering the layout of the spaces. The decor is modern and simple, and guests can follow the work of the chef, as the kitchen is separated from the dining area by glass walls.
