Provence is a region situated in the sunny south-eastern corner of France. The real Provence stretches from the perfume-city of Grasse to the east all the way to the Rhône valley to the west, and from the high Alps to the north, to the Mediterranean to the south. Even though it is not geographically correct, the French Riviera is today also considered a part of Provence. The region contains the following departments: Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence as well as the Alpes-Maritimes. Furthermore, we have decided to include the departments of Drôme and Ardèche in the region of Provence-Côte d’Azur, as many of our holiday homes are situated near the natural border of Provence-Côte d´Azur. Podere la Marronaia is a small and welcoming country house situated on a small hill among vineyards and olive groves, close to the historic center of San Gimignano (2 km). Today, the country house decorated as a holiday home while production of organic wine and extra virgin olive oil. There are many animals on the farm (horses, goats, dogs and cats).
This is an ideal place for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday while close to the historic center of San Gimignano and a short distance to the other seeing towns and villages in Tuscany. From the large garden is a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside and the towers of San Gimignano.
The estate consists of 3 apartments each with its own entrance from the yard and garden. The apartments have different colors. The rooms are large and comfortable double bed. The kitchens are well equipped. The bathrooms are all equipped with shower. All around the main house is a large garden with swimming pool, solarium, barbecue and garden equipment. The owners live on the first floor of the house.
On request offers vineyard free tour every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 16.00. The tour concludes with wine, grappa and olive oil tasting and snacks.
For an additional fee offers vingårenden also cooking classes incl. wine tasting, segway, Nordic walking, mountain biking, trekking, horse riding and much more.
Small well-behaved dogs are welcome by appointment.
