Provence is a region situated in the sunny south-eastern corner of France. The real Provence stretches from the perfume-city of Grasse to the east all the way to the Rhône valley to the west, and from the high Alps to the north, to the Mediterranean to the south. Even though it is not geographically correct, the French Riviera is today also considered a part of Provence. The region contains the following departments: Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence as well as the Alpes-Maritimes. The Hameau des Issambres is situated between Massif des Maures and Massif de I´Esterel, not far from Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Tropez in the Var area. Hameau des Issambres is situated in the heart of a 15-hectare estate, between the hills and the "garrigue" scrubland. It is set in 2.5 hectares of grounds planted with a mixture of Mediterranean tree species. The complex, built in typical Provencal style with old Roman tiles, ochre facades, balusters and arches, consists of small buildings with 2 or 3 floors, all set around a large swimming pool.
